‘Think health not drugs’ should not just be taken as mere slogan but it is indeed a statement of reality. Cognitive appraisal in psychology affirms that a person’s life moves in the direction of his dominant thought. What you say to yourself in any given situation determines what happens to you in that situation. The mental image of empirical reality creates the reality physically. Each person can change his outer condition (health) by changing his inner condition (thoughts). The matter of health is a matter of the heart.

Research has shown that the body can be conceived as a healer with pharmacopoeia of neuropeptides, neuroendocrine secretions and immunological restoratives that maintain and enhance health. The human body is the most sophisticated system in the world. Our spirit, soul (mind) and body work in such harmony that it cannot be separated. This marvelous creation is a delicate network of interdependent parts that only work well as a synergy. All that we have to do is to let the body heal itself without working against it. Indeed, the body has infinite power and innate wisdom. It can be said that within the body there is on call 24 hours a day and seven days a week both a physician and a pharmacist. The physician determines the need and prescribes the cure. The pharmacist fills the prescription and delivers the needed substances in the right amount to the right place at the right time. |
